I have always been a HUGE fan of the resident evil series. I've purchased console in the past just to play these games (case in point: Wii version of RE4). This is in spite of the PC version because it recieved such bad reviews. The new RE5 is coming to PS3 and X360 only. Is anyone else really dissapointed by this? I have NO interest in these console, AT ALL other then this title. To me, its not worth a couple hundred bucks to play one game. :(4th3ist
Just like how the other RE games were console only ? Give it 6 months to a year after console launch and we will probably have it. We got RE3 and RE4.

This article might brighten your day. Not only is the game in development for PC, the PC version is the lead version. Here's an extract:
Asked why we're only being shown 360, he says that the main development platform is the PC and when Capcom asked him to provide a console-based demonstration for Captivate 08 it was simply quicker to port the current build to 360 because of its similarity to the PC
Resident Evils 1, 2 and 3 were all released for PC within 13 months of the console version, and with the PC version being the lead version, we can probably expect it sooner - perhaps within six months. The fact that it's the lead version is also promising for quality - the only question is will the game have mouse support?

We've gotten RE2 as well. Not sure about the original though.
Capcom's main platform is PC? Hard to believe.RK-Mara
In a way, it was the same with DMC 4, but yeah they aren't really PC devs :).
if it ever gets ported, make sure to have a gamepad unless they start getting serious with their ports. the RE4 port was horrible. using the keyboard to aim is just... awful. Try playing a third person shooter where mouse controls were entirely out of the question.
I'm not too disappointed, though, coming from a PC360 gamer. I'm picking this up for my 360, but somewhere along the line, this might get ported.

CAPCOM's PC ports are actually getting to be very solid. Other than the stupid lack of mouse support, RE4 wasn't that bad. It's the only version I've even played and I enjoyed it very much. Lost Planet was another good port that ran pretty smoothly, and DMC4 is their best effort yet. It looks lightyears better on the pc than it did on the consoles.
YEaaaaa ty fatsho! That is great to here. I suppose it isn't surprising to hear that Capcom is doing something with the PC in mind first after publishing Age of Conan on PC.
