i think your PSU is giving up, its not that you video card cant handle it to be honest im surprised you dont play with 16X AA.also what monitor do you have.

Well you are running on a minimum amount of watts for a 8800gts, and your PSU probably doesnt have enough amps, I am pretty sure its your PSU

i doubt its overheating too because an 8800 gts shouldn't be overheatin on battlefield at only 2X AA.

the guy at the store told me that i have 18 amps, the 8800 needs 22....and it has 400watts and the 8800 needs 450watts minimum....so im guessing it needs more huh?

not reli, you could run it on a 250 PSU, the more hardware you have the more power you need if you get what im sayign. the 450 guideline is just there to scare people imo.

Upgrade your PSU, because your running some quality parts there wouldnt want to damage them, a stock 8800 needs about 400 watts PSU, and a really good quality brand, your card is superclocked which means its pulling in more watts, buy yourself a nice PSU around 500-600 watts with a lot of amps.

Well yea everything takes power to work all the components, a bad PSU can mess your computer, I never understood why some people bought uber rigs but got a mediocre PSU, its one of the most important things in your computer nothing can run without it.

even though it doesn't actually do anything in game i agree having a reliable PSU is very important.
