imac running windows for games question

i am looking at a new imac, but would want to install either xp or vista with the bootcamp program. will this machine run windows based games (i.e. COD4, HL2, ect...)well?

Is that the one with the 2400PRO you asked about in General Hardware? If so, don't expect to play much on it. It'll of course play Source Engine games or CoD4, but not at the native resolution of the monitor. I suggest you put down more money and get one of the iMacs with an 8800GS.

any particular reason why you want an imac as opposed to a custom built PC?

They should work fine with lower settings as kodex said. I never tried running games on it (since Windows only has like 10GB dedicated , other is for MAC OS), but Windows and many Windows based applications run just fine. That is on 24" imac with 2600XT, but I'd also recommend the one with 8800GS if u plan to play games on it.
