I was just playing both crysis and crysis: warhead in tandem, and when i get to the indoor sections i can crank everything up to very high/ enthusiast with 2X AA, and it looks amazing. Especially the lighting/ volumetric effects, and i was just thinking of how much a game like splinter cell could benefit from such indoor atmosphere. By the way i think the original looks better than warhead. Thoughts?

i also think that original looks bether than warhead it have bether lighting etc, warhead is just, how to say, more cartoonish Right-click your Crysis shortcut, choose Properties, then click on the Shortcut tab and add -devmode to the end of the Target line. Now when you launch Crysis, pressing F1 will allow you to play in 3rd person, F2 will teleport you to a spawnpoint, F3 will allow you to fly and noclip, and F4 will make you invincible (godmode). Playing Crysis in 3rd person will make you feel more like Splinter Cell :D have fun

Crysis warhead has been in development I think for only about 6months I think? (At least thats when they announced it.)

But yea it does look worse then the original slightly. they optimized the game more and removed a few things and splashed HDR over everything to make it look good.

You can download a mod called Gears of Crysis. It allows bullet time and third person mode(with a crosshair)

nice tip!

would love to see a splinter cell chaos theory type game using the cryengine 2, you're right 2006, indoors crysis looks incredibly real and would suit splinter cell down to the ground.

also yes i think crysis looks slightly better than warhead

Hmm.

As a slightly different argument ... imagine Crysis with the GoldSrc (HL) Engine. Would it still have much going for it? (I havent actually played Crysis ... just wondering what others think :P)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

But yeah, Splinter Cell with CryEngine would be the perfect game. I loved Double Agent, but the graphics could have been a lot better.

I don't like the Splinter Cell Series, but almost any game with CryEngine 2 should be great.

While not morrowind here's oblivion under Cryengine2, it's canned though as the modder was forced to stop.
