hey guys the past few weeks, ive been noticing a few problems and i'd really appreciate it if u could help. everytime i turn my pc on, it gives me 4 red lights on the motherboard and nothing happens on the screen. i have to continualy keep turning it on and after about 4 trials, the green lights on the mobo kicks in and the pc boots up fine (i find it very weird and im very concerned) if i leave it on for more than 4 hours, the performance becomes piss poor like americas army 3 plays at 20 fps on max. then i have to rebooted which takes me about 15 min and then it all repeats. ive reinstalled windows and my drivers and cleared my cmos but nothing works!!!

plz help thanks. (btw my performance is really low right now so i have to reboot so ill c u guys in 15 min!)heres some cake!

here u go!

the lights you are referring to sound like a diagnostics feature, there must be something in your motherboard manual about what the lights mean. have you checked?

BLKR said it all. Each light means something. They should all be in the manual. Sounds like it is indicating some sort of hardware or component failure. Things can go bad in a computer after a while so it wouldn't be surprising.

apparently 4 red lights mean my cpu s either damaged or not installed properly but it boots up fine after a few tries! :S i even cleared the cmos so overclocking is not a problem and my cpu runs at 40 degrees celcius at idle

Actually MSI makes very good MoBo's. Well you pretty much narrowed it down, its either something on your Mobo went bad or something on your cpu did. I would replace the MoBo first.

4red led mean will hang here if the processor is damaged or not installed properly. According to the MSI site.

That cake looks good.
