Are you defensive and defend or offensive and attack i am more offensive in games

I prefer to be defensive, however this is usually to a fault as most RTS games reward agreesiveness.
Usually defensive and even not aggressive (i.e. often pursuing alliance / technology victories rather than steamrolling everything else) though in most games people should really try both styles as it makes for an interesting change in gameplay.
In Battlefield-type games where I have teammates or online deathmatches where movement is key, it's on the offensive.
In singleplayer games, I can afford to be on the defensive and secure the base first before going on the offensive. Or in games like Crysis, I sometimes go on the offensive, find myself outgunned and forced to do a fighting retreat. Then I resume going on the offensive.
In RTS I prefer to be defensive at first. Then if I already know that my defense is nearly impenetrable, I start creating offensive units.
EDIT: In shooting, I prefer to be the offensive type
Dephends on a variety of factors such as my build, the enemy and my team mates.
Generally if I have the advantage, I will go on the offensive
If I have the disadvantage I will go defensively.
If it is equal I tend to go for harassment.
Then again in Civ 5 I am an aggressive leader, but in combat I fight defensively to minimize (to even nullify) my losses.
if theres an option to kill everyone or hide and sneak past or something similiar i go with sneaking so defensive.
Most of the time I try to be defensive. I wait for someone else to make the first move and then I counter it.
like most i tend to go for offense in fps's as it's the most fun. only if it fails continuously or my team sucks so much that they can't back me up or even profit from the openings i often create, will i consider changing to a more defensive strategy. but i really think it's rather cowardice as a defensive strategy in my book basically amounts to camping.
in strategy games i will only take the offense when provoked or when given an opportunity that is too good to pass up. i really like base building and making an impenetrable fortress out of it. once that's completed i can focus all my attention and resources on wiping out the enemy.
Eee. The biggest offender for this is BC2, I think. In a rush game, I actually like to be on attackers for the SOLE fact that there are less snipers defending objectives than there are attacking them. For whatever reason, you'd expect snipers to sit back and take on a defensive role, but no. Attacking snipers like the fact all their enemies are bunched up in one spot.
Defending objectives pisses me off when you try to dig in and establish a line, you just get your head blown off as soon as you start to shoot.
