You can't get good quality and cheap in the same set of headphones. What is your budget and what soundcard do you have?

Although there certainly is a good selection of headphones w/mics out there, such as Turtle Beach Ear Force HPA 5.1, you can't go wrong getting an unbeatable pair of sennheisers (HD series) and a table mic. Table mics usually suck but the one i have is the cheapest and best sounding mic i have ever had, it rivals microphones such as the one on the HPA, yet will cost less than the shipping charge (2-5$) its a Labtec PC 333 desktop mic, amazingly cheap and great quality (I do alot of vent and get alot of feedback)

This belongs in the hardware section.( You don't need any mics or headphones, if you are looking to buy one. A monitor with built in speakers will do just fine.:D)

I never buy them in a combo like that. I always have a mic separate from the headphones. Mostly because if one goes bad, then the entire thing becomes useless. It is likea TV/DVD player... if the TV goes bad you have a DVD player thatyou cannot use. I generally go with the Logitech USBboom mic because it has better sound pickup without background noise and seems to hit the game performance less. Then for headphones I start with what is the most comfortable for extended play time and then judge by sound quality. Combine that with Audio Sandbox and you have an awesome audio experience.

I fly with my squadron almost nightly. We communicate in real time with "Teamspeak". I have to have a reliable headset/mic combo that works first time, everytime. Plantronics makes great gear as does Sennheiser. You can't go wrong with either and they've a wide range of products price wise. Be sure.

I have a pair of icemat seiberia headset which are really good, they are comfortable, good sound, you can take of the mic of, they look good, you can use them for your mp3 and hi-fi equipment, they are not to expensive.
