Its a random item from what I know, but there should be a shop sometime in the game with one in it...why don't you just smash things open? that generally works quite well, unless you mean certain doors.

You just got Bishop and I would say your probably around 30% complete but I ain't played the main campaign for some time so I can't be completely sure but you still got some ways to go. Erm tanks...well that Paladin guy Casavir, you can get a bladegolem later on but you have to find parts to construct it. The rest are all mages or more magic users really.

You can get two tanks later on (a paladin, a golem...oh, and another fighter, depending on what part of the game you're on), but for now...hm...I'm just recommend relying on Khelgar and summoned creatures.

I always found mages/clerics to be more useful in NWN2 than anything else, but then again, my main character was a dwarvern defender, so I never needed any other tanks.

*edit* I can't really remember much about getting Bishop, but you're less than half-way, I think.

*more editing* Some of the spellcasters can hold their own in battle, too. I usually put the cleric and warlock (you'll get them later) at the front of party - not really sure if that helped, though. :P

so do you want spoilers for chime of opening or not?

anyway, pickpocket often, and you will pick it up from some named character.

also, as mentioned, you can buy it from some one.

for my part, my sorcerer will always have knock...

I myself am an arcane mania and so my character is always sorcerer, single or multi-class; one tank is more than enough for me; it's way fun wizrd, druid and cleric spells filling the battle fields^^"

I just use knock or have Neeshka. But Neeshka is useful for traps too.
