Insignia 21.6" LED TV ~ Lines accross screen when playing PS3

My cousin just purchased an Insignia 21.6" LED TV from Futureshop and he says theirs lines and a wierd noice when he is playing his PS3. Anyone know what the problem might be?

I asked him if he had HD component cables and he only has the stand def ones. Could that be the problem? I looked it up and if you hold down the power button for 10 seconds it will reset ps3 to min video settings so maybe its because its not set to 480p?

Insignia has improved a lot in my opinion. And getting an LED TV for $250, I'd say is worth every penny.snipeshot11
