Probably an unshielded hdmi cable letting electronic interference in

I asked him if he had HD component cables and he only has the stand def ones. Could that be the problem? I looked it up and if you hold down the power button for 10 seconds it will reset ps3 to min video settings so maybe its because its not set to 480p?
Insignia has improved a lot in my opinion. And getting an LED TV for $250, I'd say is worth every penny.snipeshot11i guess it depends on how picky you are with PQ. insignia leds have problems with uniformity and the color accuracy is poor. anyways get that hd cable and it should remove the lines when playing the ps3.
he needs HD cables, and btw insignia sucks dude. if he just bought it, try to return it and get something better.bizzy420Insignia is a good brand...I have had my Insignia for 3 years now and never had any problems.
