Installing Cataclysm.. taking forever!!

Got the game on CD.. so far the installation has takin about an hour at its 26% done.. so i guess its gunna take about another 2 hours

for the rest..

certainly takes a while doesnt it.

well if thats the case i guess u start taking a nap since i assume u won't be getting sleep for next 2 weeks?

Patches have been available for a long time on Fileplanet. You should have downloaded them a long time ago like everyone else on the planet. Then your install would take 10min like it did for me and everone I know.

The game fills about 25gb, you need to download alot.

cata changed alot of the game world and added alot of graphics...i could see how it would take forever to install...as matter fact...i reinstalled on my new laptop a couple weeks ago...while playin the dl took litterally a week in the background

TC what you post sounds confusing, there is no 3.2 when you install retail Cataclysm even digital. If you had WotLK installed then you just wasted hours for nothing, you should have uninstalled it, because registering Cataclysm, will only give you access to almost 1gb of data for Cataclysm owners, the rest is just a huge update for your old WotLK, an update that would be pointless if you uninstall it and directly install Cataclysm only.

Are you a new player? If you've been playing WoW, all of the expansion material was downloaded in the background during play. All I had to do was enter my CD key and log in to play.
