Okay I when I try to install games on vista (BF:2, COD 2, Quake 4) They never finish installing. I checked the disc. It looks fine. So I drag the games over the network with my windows XP computer. But I still have problems. For Call of Duty 2 the SP works fine. But not the multi. Is this is a known issue? I got version 1.0 Will a patch fix this?
probably....vista is still new and it needs many patches to work out the bugs.......thats why i bought it but didn't install it yet on my pc(the one were i play videogames) only installed it on the other pc......dont worry in time there will be patches and upgrades..
I had problems with COD2 and BF2142 on Vista as well. So I just went back to XP even though I got a free copy of Vista from my school. Vista can blow me.

Try installing and running them as Administrator (right click on shortcut and select Run As Administrator). Some games don't behave well under Limited Accounts.Â
what exactly is the problem? on my old XP comp, I would install games, and in the middle of the instalation, Instalshield would freeze and stop responding. However, after waiting like 5 minutes, it magically came back to life and installed without any problems. Weird....

Did your screen ever blink or just dim a bit? Sometimes that administrator thing starts up, but just sits minimized, so you dont catch it right away.

The Administrator is on for both sp and multi mode. Single player mode works fine but not multi.
