Installing New Video Card Question

Im I gonna have to reformat? Please tell me I can just wipe my current display driver and dload the new one w/o reformatting.

No you shouldn't have to reformat, just uninstall your video driver and reinstall the driver once you have your new video card in place. The only pieces of hardware that would force a reformat to upgrade is the motherboard, and maybe the CPU.

No.

Install new drivers.

Disable old ones.

TAke out old card.

Insert new one.

Go.

uninstall curent display driver, turn off computer swap the vid card turn on computer and install new display driver

You should download the latest driver from the web site of the graphic card cause the one that comes with the card is usually out of date by the time you get it.

That is pretty much all you need to do.
