insurgency is a great game, as it is like a mixture of america's army and counterstrike, making it a not too slow, modern shooter in the middle east. i love it, only problem is the bugs, but atleast it is playable unlike perfect dark source. anyways, a patch is coming, and will adress this:

First of all we want to thank everybody for their great support and dedication to our mod over the past 2 days and on behalf of all the developers and especially Pongles and Jeremy I can only say that we have just started and a lot of cool things are about to come.

Right now we are working on the first patch that will take care of the following things:

Release 1.0a Changelist

* ADDED: command "tkremove" and "tkdetect"
* ADDED: hint to suggest use of "cl_stancemode 1"
* ADDED: super-sonic bullet whiz
* ADDED: weaponsway after sprint
* ADDED: convar "ins_dmgfactor"
* ADDED: hint for different stance mode
* CHANGED: alltalk is defaulted to "0"
* CHANGED: won't suicide you when you select another squad
* CHANGED: renamed "ins_friendlyfire" to "mp_friendlyfire"
* CHANGED: renamed "ins_endtime" to "mp_chattime"
* CHANGED: client DLLs built without SSE
* CHANGED: replaced round-restart commands with "ins_restart_game" and "ins_restart_round"
* CHANGED: dust effects use less CPU
* FIXED: attacking with grenades while sprinting
* FIXED: RPG playing the wrong draw animation when not loaded
* FIXED: the client crash XYZ ^
* FIXED: the server crash XYZ ^
* FIXED: flashlight and spraypaint in spectator is now disabled
* FIXED: can not longer cook smoke grenades
* FIXED: reloading the M249
* FIXED: small problem for people that do not have SSE support on their CPU
* FIXED: strange behaviour in shotgun reload
* FIXED: players connecting won't instanlly spawn in the game
* FIXED: super-fast prone and unprone
* FIXED: unable to use grenade if attacking while going prone
* FIXED: suicide from explosions
* FIXED: slot keys
* FIXED: shells sticking to players
* FIXED: automatic sounds pausing
* FIXED: ironsights twiching underlag
* FIXED: bipod view locking issues while moving in prone

Our team is working hard on finishing this first patch and we should be back with you very soon after testing and making sure things work the way they should be.

PD:S has lost all of its support so it doesn't really matter at this point. They need to do a complete PR overhaul when they announce and release beta 2.

Crap, looks like it's going to be a little late. They say the dev who was in charge of releasing it passed out from drinking too much and the rest of the devs decided to go to bed as well. LOL. Either way it probably wasn't going to be updated in a lot of servers until tomorrow anyways.
