I recently installed a asus 8800gt as well as a new 600watt PSU and during certain games (Mass Effect and Call of Duty 4 but interestingly, not Crysis) my cpu hits around 80 degrees, my question is, what would be a cheap and easy way to fix this if there is one?

cheers,

mush

Sounds like you need to

1. Reapply thermal paste

2. Get a new heat sink for your CPU

3. Get a new case, like the Antec 900 for cooling.

4. If you don't want a new case, get water cooling or get more fans for air flow.

5. Get those wires out of the way so air can flow!

Or it could be as simple as you need to clean your heat sink and your fan on your CPU.
