Really depends on your budget for a processor:
If under $100:AMD.
If over $100:Intel.
And i presume you're gonna have a good deal of money to burn when you build this rig.

Dells XPS service is excellent!
But...thier computers can be built cheaper by you....of course you won't have thier outstanding tech service
Dell will actually send you a new computer before you even return your old one....same goes with parts.
if your a tech head build your own...if not Dells not a bad alternative
and they are alwasy running that 18 month same as cash deal...pay it off in 18 months and you'll pay 0 intrest!

I wouldn't go as far as to say those two dealers are pure crap. I know a lot of purists will dog them, but they put out a decent product - so long as you know you get what you pay for.

I agree with the Dell. I was just looking at one today. You can get the follow:
E6420 @ 2.13 Ghz
2GB RAM
8600GTS
320GB HDD
22" Monitor
For about $1250, less if you have any coupon codes (check slickdeals.net).

A 19" would be a better monitor for the 8600GTS.[QUOTE="blurb1324"][QUOTE="AARONRULZ1"][QUOTE="ragek1ll589"][QUOTE="AARONRULZ1"]Really depends on your budget for a processor:

A 19" would be a better monitor for the 8600GTS.True. But it comes with a 22" by default :-P

Just sell the 22" and get a 19" :P or save up for a X1950XT and keep the 22" lol[QUOTE="AARONRULZ1"][QUOTE="ragek1ll589"][QUOTE="AARONRULZ1"]Really depends on your budget for a processor:

You can get a much better rig at ibuypower for less.I just threw one together real quick (not matching it exactly), and the price came to about $100, plus whatever OS and shipping fees there are.
