I am thinking of getting a new pc so what should i consider buying a INTEL processor or AMD...

The thing is i want the processor to be future proof (to last me a few years) I am ready to pay around 2000$ for a new pc.

And i want the processor to be really good, value for money and able to handle great games ..

ANy suggestions ? thnx

Easily Intel. C2D > X2 64. Its really that simple. I recommend an E6600.

intel is outperforming amdx2 with c2d's.  i reccomend going with intel but waiting about 3 weeks for the price drops to come and the bigger cache sizesup from 2 to4.  i think 22nd is the official price drop date when the e6420 and such are coming out.  the processors have already dropped in price but if you can hold out longer you can invest more on a good case and power supply.Â
