Wich one? It seems like you get more bang for your buck with AMD, but I heard Dual core is still better...
And I am trying to get good stuff, but pretty cheap. Intel is cheaper tho

The intel C2D's absolutely curb stomp their amd counterparts clock for clock. There are one or 2 budget options on the very low end where amd has the advantage but if you are buying a chip for games you wouldnt even know those 2 budget options exist.
Not only do the C2D's take amd to the yard @ stock they out pace them in oc'ing by an embarassing margin. What you can get out of a lapped and air cooled C2D you would be lucky to get out of an AMD even with chilled water.
There is absolutely no reason to get an AMD unless you already own an AMD mainboard and cant afford to make the switch.
Or require the still-superior scaling offered on multi-processor setups with AMD (mainly thanks to their integrated memory controller). Or if you plan on using high-powered onboard graphics, where AMD still leads the way, and by a rather impressive margin. There is absolutely no reason to get an AMD unless you already own an AMD mainboard and cant afford to make the switch.

Ain't got a mobo yet. I'm gonna build the PC as soon as I have the money, and I haven't decided the MoBo yet
