im a noob when it comes to cpu gaming and seeing as how i just signed up on gamespot 5 minutes ago, i guess im a noob here as well. Anyways i was hoping all you gamers out there could actually help me find a good rpg game. What do i mean by rpg?

1) Preferably MMO

2)Absolutely no monthly payments at all...either download or just payment for the game itself

3) Well thats about it but 3 reasons are better than 2 :D

-Appreciate it

First of all what is "CPU" gaming? I am pretty sure no one goes around playing games with nothing but processors :|

Anyway, for PC gaming, a good game that would match your preferance would probably be Guild Wars. No monthly fees and a excellent title. As for a non-online game I would suggest Oblivion, the Witcher or even maybe Diablo 2.

Heh, it's CRPG-- Computer Role-Playing Game. Not CPU RPG. :)

You might want to look into Guild Wars.

Whichever setting interests you more.

Prophecies (Also called Guild Wars Game of the Year Edition) and Eye of the North is you're into a more traditional medeival swords and sorcery style.

Nightfall if you like a middle-eastern/desert setting.

Factions if you wanta more oriental game world.

Also, you have to own at least one of the first three games to play Eye of the North. I believe EotN is a continuation of Prophecies, I'd recommend buying itonly if you finish Prophecies.

I would get the Guild Wars Platinum Edition

http://www.amazon.com/NC-Soft-FG-XP-GWPLT-057-Guild-Platinum/dp/B0013EEJM2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_5?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1214711832&sr=8-5

It comes with the original and its expansion so you can see if you like it enough to warrant the purchase of the other one, and its only 40 bucks.
