hey peoples, i am going to be upgrading my pc to run crysis and all that good stuff. but i have an idea. i just ordered 2 sounds activated cold cathode lights. now normally these are made to light up your pc's case to the beat of music. however, rather than music, i plan on using this for gaming. i just bought a 19 inch widescreen monitor and i am going to place the cathodes on the monitor. that way when i fire a weapon or an explosion goes off or whatever it may be, the lights will flash. so now not only do i see the fake muzzle flash from the end of my weapon on the screen, but it actually flashes like it would in real life lol.

i dont know how well this will work, but i think it will add to the immersion and be pretty cool. if it ends up blinding and annoying i will just install them on my pc case. what do you guys think?

they have ones you can buy with a little microphone so that the lights pulse with the sounds. itll work. and yes, i may have a seizure, but i figure if that was gunna happen, it wouldve happened by now in my 12 years of hardcore gaming.
