Well, I had to re-install Windows XP on my old computer (I'll save you the details), and know im trying to connect it to the internet, but I'm stuck. The way i have it set up is, I have a router that connects wirelessly to this desktop and my laptop, and an ethernet cord is going from my router into my old computer. Yet, I do not know how to set it up anymore. I have a Software installation disk from Bell (Canadian ISP) and when i try to install the software, it says I have no network adapter. So, do you guys know how I can install drivers for my network card, even if I dont have the CD? Or is there any other way to connect my computer to the internet?

Once the motherboard driver is intalled xp should detect your network card and install it. From there you put in your

internet provider cd in and your network ip. Most times it is the problem.

u have 2 options, u need to figure out what kind of motherboard u have and what kind of ethernet u have....if u have a cd came wit ur motherboard then all the drivers should be on there....if u dont have a cd, u can go to either the motherboard company site or the ethernet company site and download the drivers for XP......if u know the names of the company but cant find drivers on their site, do a google search...u shud be able to find it
