I have an IPOD Shuffle and my wife has a Samsung MP3 player. I have been having problems with the shuffle (boottext file every time I plug it in, Extremely slow transfer times between pushing the button to add a song and it actually finishing adding that song(30 seconds or more),and sometimes it tells me that it cannot be synced at all. Now my wife's samsung player is not even detected when I plug it into the PC. Do these two not play nice together on one PC? I am ready to take a hammer to both of them!!!

That certainly is an odd problem, see if you can re-install the drivers. I used my Creative Zen while my sister had an iPod for a couple months and we had no problems.

There could be a driver conflictissue. My wife have has a Nano and I have a cheap no name MP3 player. I've had no problems.

Did either player ever work correctly?

What are your system specs?

P4 2.4 ghz, 512 ram, 6800 video card, windows xp home sp2. The ipod shuffle works okay now that I have restored it, but it takes forever to load itunes and to transfer music to the player (30-40 seconds per song). The pc does not even detect the Samsung MP3 player. I can plug it in and recharge it fine, but cannot add music or delete music. I tried to update drivers and it tells me to connect device (which is already connected). I cant help but think the Ipod had done all of this! The samsung worked fine before I updated by Itunes.
