So, I've had a 2nd gen ipod nano for a while now, it has 2GB memory and that gets filled pretty quick, even quicker if all your music runs at 320Kb/s. iIve researched a bit and found out that the big ipods (classic/video) can get a capacity upgrade, if you switch the hard drive.

So i was wondering if someone could tell me if my ipod capacity can be upgraded, and if so, what are the specifications of the hardrive i should get...

ipod nanos are a lot different then ipod classics, they run off of flash memory, which means that there is no hard drive just a chip that has a given storage capacity, you might be able to change that, but it would be a lot more complicated as you would have to first remove the old memory and then put the new memory on

The easiest and simplest solution is to just buy a new mp3 player, memory capacity has increased massively and is cheaper nowadays than it has ever been. Upgrading a nano is a complicated job really not cost effective or worth doing im afraid.
