Yeah, so about a week ago my iPod stopped charging. When I plug it into the computer via the USB cable, it syncs with iTunes, but doesn't charge. It says its charging, and the green battery with the lightning on it shows, but even after keeping it plugged in for hours it hasnt even charged a little bit. The thing is, when I plug it into my dad's iPod dock thing it charges.I've tried 2 different iPod cables and neither charge though the computer. Could it be a problem with my USB ports? Becuase my onboard sound broke about 3 weeks ago, also, so my motherboard could be on its way out?

Are you sure a USB port can charge them? I'd thought USB ports didn't provide enough power to recharge the battery, only enough to access the data on the HDD. I could be way off.

Try hooking it into a different usb port. Also try a different computer.
