(the guys that made Titan Quest)

And something pretty funny:
And while I'm at it, I don't want to spare the reviewers either. We had one reviewer - I won't name names, you can find it if you look hard enough - who missed the fact that you can teleport from wherever you are in TQ back to any of the major towns you've visited. So, this guy was hand-carting all of his stuff back to town every time his inventory was full. Through the entire game. Now, not only was this in the manual, and in the roll-over tooltips for the UI, but it was also in the tutorial, the very first time you walk past one of these giant pads that lights up like a beacon to the heavens. Nonetheless, he missed it, and he commented in his review how tedious this was and how much he missed being able to portal back to town. When we - and lots of our fans - pointed out that this was the reviewer's fault, not the game's, they amended the review. But, they didn't change the score. Do you honestly think that not having to run back to town all the time to sell your stuff wouldn't have made the game a better experience?
That was gamespot.
that too bad for him. The fact that Titan quest was a a crashing mess was the main reason I did not bought this game. I could not even play the demo on my computer because it was crashing every 5 min! I had a normal comp with normal hardware... a p4 3ghz and a geforce 6800... And no I am not a member of the "stupid people ", I've been gaming since 2000 and it was the buggiest demo I've ever played.
"Then I saw that Bioshock was selling 5 to 1 on console vs. PC. And Call of Duty 4 was selling 10 to 1"
now he is just lying to himself. Cod4 sold more than 7 million (january number) and about 1.6 million on the pc. xbox 360 3.7 million and ps3 about 1.8

Made to walk the plank more like, arr, me mateys? :P
You don't say?
Hmm yet ANOTHER developer who says piracy is a big problem in the PC sector, ANYBODY starting to see the trend now? ANYBODY? Rottenberry
You realize that this is fairly old right? =/
It seems that some people just need something to cry about. Anyways as far as Iron Lore is concerned they made their money out of the game even though it is nothing but a shallow diablo clone.
ps : if any one is wondering why they closed it was because they failed to secure funding for their next project which was a multiplatform title

Lowm
gamespot lol, that's why i stopped taking their reviews seriously
it's all about money, money money money, and when that gets old its about more mf'in money. Thats all it is about PC gaming, on pc your title will either sell or "flop". and with the variety in systems out now between single core and quad (soon to be 8core) it becomes adverse and not "cost effective" (they still make profits) to the developers and companies involved. They blame piracy in a child-like manor as an excuse, cause you know we PC-users steal billions upon billions of profits each year.
So they make the swap to console, where they easily make double sometimes triple the profits using less work and pleasing a different audience. After exlcusive titles, pc-gamers are hard to impress. personally these devs could just go ahead and stay with the consoles permanently. Crytek, Epic, Lucas Arts, Iron Lore w/e. PC-Gaming isnt dying, it's just changing into something even better. the hardware is just around the corner, wait and see.

Hardware doesn't make games. Developers do. If most established developers moved to consoles almost exclusively, we will be reliant on startup outfits (who are more likely to ship buggy products) and playing flash games.
Then the need for super-duper hardware becomes redundant.
If Nividia/ATI want to keep selling the hardware, maybe they'd better start buying up some game studios themselves to make sure there are decent games to play on the PC in the future.
