I've had this problem before, but it only lasted about 4 days before it just randomly disappeared.

This time, it's been here for about 3 weeks. It's extremely frustrating. I know for a fact it's not a dead pixel problem as it's done this before and then fixed itself. I've googled around for hours and can't find anything.

Sorry for the blurry picture, in actual fact the line is about 2 pixels wide.

Operating System: Windows 8 Pro RTM Build 9200. (NOTE: I had Windows 7 Home Premium the first time it happened, so I doubt it's on OS related issue)

GPU: nVidia GeForce GT420.

Processor: Intel core i5 @ 2.8GHz.

its either your monitor or your gpu causing the problem, also double check the connection from gpu to monitor.

i've quadruple checked the cable between my monitor and GPU, seems to be nothing wrong with it. I don't think it's the monitor, seeing as it had the problem before but fixed itself...

Or TV

Actually that's a good point, I never thought of that. I don't get the green line when it's plugged into my TV...
