Right now I have 512 mb, unfortunately, my computer has 2 ram slots, not four. Should I buy another 512? Or another gig for a total of 1.5 gigs?

another 512 is probably fine. 2GB does help for the latest games, but if you've been using 512 for this long it doesn't sound like you've got a top-o-the line machine. 1 gig total usually does the job unless you're planning on using Vista

Its 667ddr2, pretty mid range. But I'm running xp. So maybe I'll just get another 512 mb.

yeah just get another 512 mb that speed isn't bad the only reason you might want to add a gig is if you overclock or if you want to play games on the highest resolution on max setting by the way what is the rest of your setup

i would get 1gb more RAM because if you dont you'll bottleneck an 8xxx series card. 1.5GB should be alrite 1GB will be most likely be pushing it./

we have the same problem.  I just bought another 512mb memory stick i see the big difference with running games.  I suggest you buy 512mb memor stick.  If you still have problems with running games sluggishly then i suggest upgrade your Video card.

If your OS is Windows Vista... i suggest you must have 2GB of RAM to run games smoothly.
