Hi.
I'm thinking of purchasing this HDTV for my 360:

Anyway, it says it's response time is 8ms.
Is that bad?

Try counting 15ms. Go ahead. Try. 15ms is bad for screens. BUT WATS TEH DIFFERENCE IF I, A HUMAN BEING, CANNOT COUNT IT.

Requesting someone with some tech knowledge, please.

What does counting have to do with it? When you're watching it you'll most likely see motion blur.

i have a samsung lnt-32 inch tv for my bedroom and run a ps3 and 360 on it. i have yet to experience blur so 8ms is definetly good because my tv has yet to experience it and it has an 8ms response time. but its ur choice!

You do know not everyone realizes it, right? It also depends on what you're playing.

My computer monitor runs at 8 ms and I don't notice any motion blur when I play games or watch movies (I've seen it on higher counts so I know how it looks).

Monitor and TV differ from each other especially on response time. Most likely your monitor has response time of 8ms GTG where as a TV with a 8ms would point to be 12ms or even 16ms GTG. Add to the fact that monitors are way better scalers than TVs and have a general better refresh rate cap, its not such a fair thing to compare a monitor to a TV.

8ms is fine for most, but some with really good eyesight can still see ghosting.

I have a26 inch HDTV rated at 8ms, I currently have it hooked up to my 360 through the HD VGA cable and it doesn't have much ghosting at all...the only game I notice slight ghosting is in NBA 2k7, but it's just a slight trail of black off of their black hair. But the rest of my high motion games such as racers, don't have ANY noticable ghosting, even first person shooters aren't affected from what i've noticed.

I'd also say that the better brand you get you'll be less and less likely to see any ghosting even if it is rated at 8ms. My tv isn't even a name brand and it's 8ms isdefinitely acceptable for playing 360.

Try 1000. 8 Millisecond refresh rate is equal to 125 per second.
