I am, I've had the go ahead start but haven't really played it much lately. Not because its bad but just because I haven't found the time. Only thing I wish was that there was more polish and more content but I wouldn't know that yet because its not out yet.
I haven't bought it yet, but i do plan on it. I may even go as far as to pay the 199 for life. It seems good so far and with time it can be great. I espeacialy like the deeds system.
I played the Beta for a while, but I don't really plan on ordering it. Though not really because I think it's a bad game. It's just that I played WoW for a few months, and then got completely bored with it. I wanted back the life I had used up, and this game reminds me far too much of WoW. So basically, I just haven't met a MMO that I truly enjoy enough to support. Though I shall keep looking!!!
I am. If you like the lord of the rings environment, I think they've done a good job with it. I will say, I haven't played past level 15 ( did the closed beta) but I think it has alot of potential. The graphics are good, the game wasn't that buggy, which tells me these guys are putting forth good effort. I'm seriously thinking of getting the lifetime plan. If you are a big LOTR fan, I don't see why you wouldn't at least try it.
I've been playing the beta. In fact I checked in here to see if anyone was discussing it.
Tt's seems to be fairly solid but in too many ways is much like WOW. The graphics are great in some places and very marginal in others. Incredibly uneven graphics quality all the way around in my opinion. Warcraft may not have stunning graphics throughout but the quality is consistent and it creates an enjoyable atmosphere.  I think the interface is a bit.... uninspired.Â
What do I want to see? Voice acting for the main plot and the most common quests. Yes it would make the downloads longer and cost them more but it would make for more immersion. LOTR online basically did exactly what WOW did in this regard. I'd also really like to see some better gameplay when it comes to the action. Fable, while the game was certainly WAY to short and too linear, really had good action gameplay that fit in well with an RPG game. In fact Oblivian feels clunky and awkward by comparison to Fable's combat. Buy why can't MMOPG seem to step up to the plate? Why are they all just so derivitive of one another. That is what is so disapointing. There are so many obvious improvements that could be made but they keep turning out the same ole' same ole'.
Will I buy LOTR online? Perhaps, but I'm not giddy excited over it at this point. I'll have to play more of the beta to know for sure.
