Me and my friend want to start playing this game in online co-op and we watched some videos and it looks really fun, but I was just wondering does it have a lot of replayability? I don't want to waste $30 if I play if it for like 2-3 hours.

Much of the campaign is randomly generated, the missions and objectives are assembled on the fly from a huge pool of scenarios. There is infinite replayability.

I have a question or two about this as well... Can you complete the game solely on foot or in ground vehicles? I ask because I played the demo and I am a pretty ass backwards helicopter pilot so if there are points where I am required to use them, I will be SOL...?

Also, can you snipe a lot? I bought Operation Flashpoint 2 because I saw a video of sniping and it was pretty good, but so far like 10 levels into the campaign I have only found one area where I can snipe... So am I able to play the single player a lot with a sniping kit? I say singleplayer because I will probably never play MP (not a big PC MP fan)...?

Thanks!

If you learn how to install missions and mods and or make your own, you'll never run out of content.

If you can stand the gameplay, then yes - it has a lot of replayability. I bought it to play with my other friend (paid full price on Steam, both of us) and we played it for 2-3 hours.

Yes, you can complete it without piloting helicopters.

After the introductory missions, you'll get your own squad to command. You can take control of any of the other three members at any time. One of them is a sniper. Your default character can also use any weapon. So yes, you can snipe your way through the whole game if you want.

If you don't play MP or don't like the campaign, there are a billion SP scenarios to download, or you can make them yourself. You'll be in sniper heaven...

From what I have played it is. Joining a random server and playing isn't the best way to play cooperatively.

One of the problems with the game though is the complicated menu system.

Most of the online community consists of coop matches. There a few clan servers that are very team oriented and they also create custom missions. You cant go wrong with this if you want coop.

No not at all. It forces you to use mouse acceleration and therefor is not a good game at all.

The game is VERY complex. It takes a while to get used too. Don't expect it to be like the other FPS.

This is true, but stay calm, give it time and you will be rewarded with a very fun realistic shooter. Its just very complex compared to the average shooter out there.
