It's not a very good GPU. At this stage, the minimum GPUs are really the Radeon X1650 and the Geforce 7600GT for gaming purposes.

For any of today's games... absolutely horrible. For games dating earlier than year 2000, still fairly good. The fact is, its not a good card in todays range. Just basically more for well... absolutely nothing

Even integrated graphics (ie GMAX3000) are better in value than that card.

It's about equal to a 6200, maybe a little worse. (I.E. Fairly bad)

No, its actually a renamed ATI 9550, just in PCI-E form. So its worst than the 6200.

i got x550 in old comp it aint bad for games like 1 yrs = i played fifa 07, san andreas, fear, nfs carbon, most wanted etc. all on mediumish settings it had decent frame rate. but as i said, i 'had' that card. it aint gud enough to keep up wit tommorows games. i recommend the x1650 or if u can spend bit more the 7900 gs/gt

Yeah you won't be able to really play any of those games. Like everyone else said, the Geforce 7600GT is great. You can find one on newegg.com as low as $109.

And down to $90 with rebate.

Do you have AGP or PCI-E? And what's your budget?

yep you cant fault the 7600gt for its price.... or maybe the ati x1650xt, its abit more expensive but has a fair few more pixel/vertex shaders. Ther both almost identical though.
