Is BBC2 still worth it?

Is BBC2 still a good game worth playing even with BF3 around the corner? It's 5 dollars now, but don't tell me I should get it just because of the price. I'm 16 with no real income so I gotta spend my money wisely over these summer sales. I don't want to get this game, then get BF3 in November and never play BBC2 again.

I think it's important to note that when BF3 comes out, I don't think BC2 will die off. If you spend 5 dollars now you will be able to play for a very long time. I even get on Battlefield 2 every now and again, and that came out in 2005!

Fux yeah pick it up for $5 bones. I just dropped $20 on it last week. There are plenty of servers up and rollin'.

I think it will nearly dead, the only reason why bf2 stayed along becuase of the lack of any battlefield game till 2010, and bc2 was inf based.

I just bought it yesterday and it's very active , but my only problem is that most servers are full with high level players so it will be very hard to level up and i wish there were some noob servers .

There are tons of noobie servers with lower-level players. As long as you're prepared to suck for the first 15 hours of play and slowly get better from there...fantastic game. I'm a lowly level 16 right now and having a blast :D

But yes, GET IT. I'd also recommend the SPECACT kit if only for the Russian medic. And you get some better guns right off the bad (MG3 ftw). Skip Vietnam though; hard to find servers from what I hear.

It sucks compared to a game like CSS. Seriously, it has great graphics dont get me wrong, but the gameplay is just kinda lame, its full of noobs who use the CG on you constantly which is really annoying, it also lags a lot.

Gameplay wise I think that is more fun than CSS; the player will not have too much problems with rocket launchers since the game is very popular and in a lot of servers the abuse of rpgs vs infantry is punished with kicks and bans.

The only real problem is that most of players are high level players with deep knownledge about the maps and tactics and can end with beginers constantly outscored and crushed, but aside of that is some of the finest online fps ever and my favourite one fron the last five years.

I've played a ton of games and never been killed by Carl spam. 40mm, yes, but those noobs are campers and it's easy to get behind them and stick a knife in their spine.

There are plenty of servers for vietnam, nothing like surprising a squad with the flamethrower and coming out victorious, its like a continious shotgun burst.

I bought it for singleplayer, but after a few hours online I couldn't go back. I never played online games before this. For $5 the campaign will give you your money's worth, but online is where it's at.
