I am buying a 295 GTX and I am leaning towards BFG because of it's lifetime warranty. It's a lot of money to spend but I wanna make sure that they are a good company. How well do they overclock as well thanks!

Most of their cards come pre-OCd to my knowledge, but yeah I've owned one of their nVidia 5800s and plan on getting their 9600 gt, I'd give them a thumbs up in the graphics dept.

I've owned several BFG cards over the years. I'm currently using an 8800GTS G92 and I have a second computer that gets daily use by family (including gaming) which has a 7900GTX. That second computer's card is new, recently replaced under that lifetime warranty. My experience dealing with their support in that situation could not have been more pleasant, and the turn-around time was quick, too.

Yes, most BFG cards are already overclocked. They are kind of known for that. But I also think that you won't have much luck pushing it farther than what they set it to.

I've heard a couple people say this before, but the warranty specifically states otherwise, so I am not sure.

"This warranty is VOID if the product:

* Has evidence of the serial number sticker being altered, removed, replaced, or defaced.

* Was damaged while being installed.

* Was damaged by software or hardware from a company or individual other than BFG Technologies or by motherboard incompatibility.

* Was not operated in accordance with BFG Technologies specifications, instructions and any technical support directions.

* Was modified or damaged by overclocking, tampering, user error, accident, disaster, abuse, misuse, power supply, power application, alteration, repair, modification, a fix or replacement by someone other than BFG Technologies."

Regardless, they are one of the three top video card manufacturers. (BFG, XFX, EVGA)

Lifetime warranty, great support and 100 Day step-up program. Good stuff.

Could be. The warranty does state Video Cards bought after Feb. 2008. As far as I know, EVGA is the only one that still "allows" overclocking. xD

XFX still allows overclocking and hard mods, just remove them prior to returning.

Back the OP's question, yes IMO BFG is a solid company. Just make sure to register your card withing 30 days to get the lifetime warranty.
