It's definitely more fun online, but it's not awful solo. But, as cheap as it is, and how many people are buying it, I'd recommend purchasing it and playing it online with random groups or just find a group here on the forums somewhere to play with. I thought it was great playing with people.
Solo gets dull, and I'm the type who prefer SP over MP. It's a very good price in Steam though, I say get it. I'm sure there are others here who just bought that game and are looking for someone to play with. That, or see if your friends will go back and play with you.
Nope, its really nothing but the same stuff over and over agin. I bought it, and triends to play it with my one friend, but becuse i have the dlc and he doesn't we can't play
I played it for close to 30 hours solo, including the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC. I still had plenty of fun with it. If you like dungeon crawlers you shouldn't really have any problem with the experience.
Solo is okay. One thing to keep in mind when going online is having to share loot, plus you can't give any of your cash to others. You can share weapons. If someone online doesn't agree with the way you want to play, they might melee you, then you have to decide if you want to fight it out in an arena. Plus if you don't have all of the added content, then you can't play the whole game online.
For a little while. I have friends who soloed the whole thing, and I've done a mix of solo and co-op. I prefer a good SP experience but playing cooperatively in Borderlands is reaaaally fun. You'll probably like playing BL solo, but just know that if you skip the co-op you're missing out on a lot.
