Yes it's worth a buy. If you like the series then you'll like this.

For me i was kind of disappointed. I was expecting alot more from the game.

Yes, you can build your base in the waters.

Yes, there is a new fraction

Yes, you can play the campaign in co-op

but with Dawn of War 2 on the horizon & other RTS games coming out i don't see RA3 getting much attention.

There is an expansion coming out for RA3 in march though.

I agree with the above poster, and I'm a die-hard fan of the genre. The game is great, but it limits your capabilities with the scarcity of resources. How can you build massive armies and bases when you're continually worrying about your ore? Only a handful of ore stations are scattered around the map, but it's actually more expensive to get to them and build up your defenses than what it would generate for you in the long run, so they're really not worth it. C&C: Generals for example, was superb because they introduced the Black Markets, Hackers, and Drop Zones to the game. These units and structures were expensive, but were worth it in the long run. Sadly, the game is all about spending your resources wisely, and equating them according to your style of play. So if you're generous on defenses, you won't conquer, and if your units are scattered around, your base will be vulnerable at some point, because the AI will continuously send units. Red Alert 2 had the oil stations as well, which made you good profit. Get the game if you loved all the previous series. But don't get your hopes up if you're the type of person who loves building so much that you want to see the game crash after filling half of the map with units (so to speak).

i suggest you download the demo and play it to make your own opinions and decisions than completely following other's opinions.

well i rather disappointed with this c&c... it's just like another version of tiberium wars with different units and worlds... the rest is same with tiberium wars..

Get the demo i did and enjoyed and got it and the hours just seemed to fly by.

I know its supposed to be a bit wacky but i think it's getting far too silly, so much so it's sort of forgotten what it was that good about how live action stuff.

also the cut scenes are a bit disappointing the sets arn't as varied and they were suppose to be a treat in C&C not a dread they eem boring to watch don't they jsut a load of people telling you what you have to do while the first had you seeing people being poisoned, buried under rubble ,getting shot, having sex, watching military hardware move about, talk about plans for projects that gave the gameplay some meat give you a feel of accomplishment

Game-play hasn't really changed and thet's a bad thing.

C&C was always had a bit of horror in it that always got scared with themes like Genocide and the like.

This is really very dull but the game play is fun.

If you can get cheap then go for it. I wouldn't pay full price for it. It was kind of a disappointment especially since it's been so long since Red Alert 2 was released.

aura enchanted is right, but I have heard some fans of the old series say that its brilliant as well so my advise buy it, but not at full price, try and find the cheapest.

As a die-hard fan of C&C, I was kind of let down by the demo. I plan to get RA3 but at a reduced price later. I suggest you do the same.

In some ways its a better game than C&C3, for example most of the units are usefull and spamming a unit to win is not an option.
