[QUOTE="Spybot_9"][QUOTE="GodLovesDead"][QUOTE="tratyu92"][QUOTE="GodLovesDead"]If you want to run the game smoothly at 1680x1050 with highest settings, it's possible with an 8800GT or better. With my 9800GTX, I can do 1680x1050 with 2x AA. Good enough for me.GodLovesDead
It can be maxed out with acceptable framerates at a resolution of 1680X1050 only wIth 9800 GX2 Quad SLI.Check out this video:- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=QGqEp9irDuETwo issues with your comment:
1) He is running it in true DX10. I'm only running it with the tweaked DX9 "Very High" settings. I do have Vista and the minimal visual differences don't warrant the 10-30 FPS drop. They look just about the same.
2) "Acceptable framerates" being 80+ FPS? Are you kidding? Anyways, I ran the same timedemo and got a 42 FPS average. I think I'll live.
An 8800GT is more than capable of running Crysis at 1680x1050 with high/very high settings, just not in DX10. Ask anyone with an 8800GT and a fast processor.
LOL you are saying that you get 42FPS with a 9800GTX in the GPU benchmark in DX9 very high at 16x10 with 2xAA??:roll:Dont even try to argue this.Benchmarks dont lie and you ARE lying.Just accept that your 9800GTX cannot max out crysis, not even close. You CANNOT even get 42FPS in high at 16x10 with 2xAA let alone very high.
I don't see why I'd lie. I guess I'm flattered though - considering I apparently got some "super" version of a 9800GTX. Oh, wait, no I didn't. Really though, I don't know what to say. Thanks?
Ok I just ran the crysis GPU benchmark on a friends PC with an 8800GT(stock) and E4600(overclocked).I ran at 16x10 with 2xAA,vsync off,no AF and all DX9 very high settings and he got 14FPS.LOL sure you are getting 42FPS ROFL!You maybe running a cheap version of very high and not the real one.But forget it you cant even get that performance in high unless ofcourse youi show a benchmark prooving your point?Surely there has to be one in so many?
EDIT: Oh and this is under XP.
