nope CSS is a crappy game in which valve refuses to fix the bugs
go play BF2142

Â
wow....No.
Â
@ the TP, CSS is well worth your time if you like semi tactical shooters. just buy HL2 as that comes with CSS and it;s on;y 24.99. You really can't go wrong there as you have HL2 for its amazing SP and then CSS for its amazing MP. And there are no bugs within the game at all BTW.
Â
Oh and BF2 completely destroys BF2142. Â

Â
True dat'
Â
Seriously, I can't believe that everyone thinks 2142 is so much better. It's not. Vietnam was no where near BF1942, it was what I call a "filler" game between the real sequel-BF2. 2142 is one of those "fillers". Just wait till BF3 comes out, then you'll see.
Oh, by the way, CSS is no where near as buggy as BF2142, and if there is a bug, at least Valve fixes it, unlike EA, who already has your money. I much prefer CSS's small tactical one shot kill maps to battlefields large wanderfest.Â
Battlefield players will say no because they lack the skill to play CS. Anybody can pick up any Battlefield game and be good at it. With CS, expect a few weeks of getting completely owned, until you gradually start to figure the game out. There are some helpful servers like Gun-Game mods and Death-matches to help you train, expect to put in a lot of hours and commit to learning the game of CS. It is a very established community of skilled players. Battlefield games are a fad and are easily replaced by newer versions they lack depth and strategy when compared to CS.
My two cents.

IMO its CSS the game thats more shallow. Small amount of guns, small maps, hackers are still found on servers. And how exactly does it have more depth?Â
i better like DOD:S ...
if you ever played CS and got tired of it, don't try cs:s because it will be lost money, if you are new to any cs, well i find css pretty good
Â
but still, i suggest you to get a pack where you'll have DODS it's really the best one, i restarted playing it a month ago and i just can't stopÂ

I takes alot more skill to win. and the gun roster is prety big so I don't know what you're talking about. It's a lot bigger than BF2's.
Â
And you can on;y find hackers if you go on non secure servers or just servers that have a crappy community.(meaning no admins are around. Â

Small maps? Its a five on five game how big do you expect the maps to be?
Small amount of guns? 24 play-tested and proven weapons each with individual strengths and weaknesses. http://home.comcast.net/~zirlad/guns.txt
The depth lies in the teamplay and coordination required from your team in objective based rounds. I dont understand how this is not obvious. Battlefield is a much larger game where individual skill means less to the overall objective of the round.

I was just dissapointed in CSS after the initial feeling wore off. The guns didn't feel the same, and the way the models move...ugh....I just prefer the older versions of CS (namely CZ). It all comes down to personal taste. And honestly who actually uses the autosnipers, half the pistols, shotguns and other smg's other than mp5 on objective maps?

The TMP, P90, and UZI own all!!!
Â
Seriously, they completly destroy the mp5.
First of all, don't listen to BF2 players who say that CS:S sucks. BF2 takes barely any skill.
Second, Battlefield 2 is far, far superior to Battlefield 2142.
Third of all, yes, go get CS:S because it's one of the best multiplayer games ever.
Fourth, read all of the above.Â
Yes, like other have said, don't listen to the people who say BF2 are better.
With CSS you can take the game to extremely competitive levels with international tournaments where top players and clans are world famous, or you can play casually for fun with dozens of mods; Deathmatch, Gungame, Zombie.
With BF2 you play the same game all the time, it's a lot buggier than CSS, the hit reg is crap.If you want to go competitive with BF2, you can't really, nobody cares about BF when it comes to competitive games, its all about CS and Starcraft :)

Â
DODS is a lot more fun IMO as well. There's less incentive for people to hack, the custom map community seems to be well supported and it encourages teamwork more than CS:S. I play both, but I tend to get bored of CS:S after a week or so of constant playing. DOD:S hardly ever gets boring for me.Â
CS sucks i only have it because i got HL2 for 99c a while ago ... its ok but i lost interest
Â
Â
BF2 is the best game .... i have been gaming for a long time and i think BF2 is my fav all time game
Â
PS i dont want a game i have to work my ass off to do anything and get "owned" or "pwned" or whatever that isnt fun for me, but that said CS was pretty easy but pretty boring... try fear online its free and pretty much the same thing as CS
Battlefield games suck. The only people who disagree are Battlefield fanboys who like getting random kills or getting randomly killed with gay vehicles. I own all Battlefield games, and CS:S. I'd take CS:S over all my BF games combined.
the only ones that are indeed going to buy css are the ones that have already played it.( and a lot to be exact, just to stop themselves from getting completely wned n pwned) however, bf2 is much more fun to play!!! (as well as many other games, other than cs) so, if u like teh pwning, buy it.
if u just want to have fun, without teh frustration and anger cs has to offer, buy sth else!!!!Â
