LOL, i love Fry's. Not the best prices compared to online stores, but it's like a candy store for tech nerds :?

never shopped there... but i take my business to newegg. they have the best price, and their shipping and RMA departments are really fast. you can never go wrong with them.

Fry's have some cheap stuff(cheapest store I ever shop at, compare to others), but online site like newegg.com are way cheaper and more reliable.

Fry's Electronic is a great place for me to purchase computer equipment locally. It's just that their service can be a bit slow at times and you have to be careful with "reduced price" products (which typically means it's been returned by customers).

Yah, you go there to look around or if you really need something quick. CompUSA, Best Buy are way more of a rip-off.

it happens, yeah. you kinda learn to roll with it. they're pretty good now about labeling things as 'open box' and selling them at a slight discount when they are like that, though. in any case, fry's has pretty much a blanket 30-day return policy on everything there, where you can return anything for any reason and not have to pay a restocking fee. technically, that even tops newegg. basically, the store's GREAT as long as you know exactly what you're doing (i.e. how to identify something already opened ;)). otherwise, it's a scary place. edit: and everything i said only applies to their stores. online, fry's.com is also fine. haven't had any complaints about them or their prices.

Frys is good for there occasional hot deals (usually processor+mobo combos), but I wouldn't order all my parts from them.
