guild wars is just as it has always been, and it's great. the community is very far from being dead, its just that as always, guild wars is not a game about finding random groups, in order to get to the high end content you'll need to find a guild, and it's not that hard, the game is great and the PvP is insanely addictive, pick it up, don't listen to people who say that the game is dead and that the community sucks and so on.
Yes Guild wars is still good , the community is more than alive (www.guildwarsguru.com) and townposts ingame are full always. Just an advice , find a guild and make some friends. Give it a try.
The game is largely dead. Do not buy it unless you have a friend or 2 that would play it with you. The remaining community is just awful.

Cmon man, its not dead, and you know it. Sounds like you are slightly bitter. Of course there are a few bad apples, but I have played with many wonderful people over the years.
