Go for the Seagate Barracuda 7200:12 it seem to be the most fast 7200RPM hard Drive up-to-date according Bit-tech

hope you enjoy ur 1TB Drive if you buy one :D they pretty Fast so re-install the OS on it if by any chance you have current OS On 2-4 Year old HDD It will boot up Pretty much faster :P just look at the bit-tech url in my previous post :P

if you need an external then thts probly your best bet at this point as externals have been coming down in price a bit but not to the really affordable lvl yet

yeah if you need External :I think there good : It sad that USB 2.0 Slowdown capacity of Speed Compare to SATA II / E-SATA II : maybe more hope with USB 3.0 lol : i heard that WD mybook are sort of slow i heard so compare to Seagate FreeAgent but they are good quality
