can someone tell me if this setup is any good plz (Asus p5n-e SLI Socket 775 (intel core 2 quad q660 dual core 4 X 2.4ghz 8mb,Nvidia geforce 8400gs 256mb and with 1gb of ram maybe 2) And could you tell me what kinda games it could play?,thanks

Forget the quad core and get a E6750 or so. Use the money saved and put it towards a better graphics card and 2 gigs of memory.

yeah. Or even try an e6600, 7900 GS, and 2 gigs of RAM. That would be good.

It is just straigh up Q6600 quad core, 2.4 GHz, 8mb cache

You could probably find an X1950XT under that price, ebuyer did have one for £105, but it seems to be out of stock most of the time now.

For £30 more you could get an 8800GTS, another very nice card.

No. It fails in comparison to the 8800.

OK, but if I were you, I'd get the X1950XT, it will wasily last another year on decent settings, then get either a nextgen DX10 Card or a dirt cheap 8800GTX!

Either way you'll be able to max any game out at the moment :)
