i get overwhelmed easily in life, and i usually end up locking myself in and turning off all the lights and hugging myself tightly and shaking uncontrollably. and it's starting to happen with all these games i bought. i went from like 60 games in my collection to now having 210. but strangely enough, when it comes to games, i can kind of pull my **** together and focus and organize and get things done. so despite the 70+ games that i haven't even played, i'm only playing 4 games currently - vampire, team fortress 2, sam & max season 1, and mass effect.

Sometimes, it depends on how much time I have. I bought Titan Quest two weeks ago to take up my time before Mass Effect came out. So now I'm playing both, I also get distracted with TF2.

All the time. I think I've started to play ten games over the last three/four months and I haven't finished a single one of them. Like now, for example. I'm trying to get through Nolf, but it's just not as good as Nolf2, so I'm thinking of playing something else instead... (Sorry, JP, it's a little boring...)

Yes, it does. It didn't used to. I used to play every game I got all the way through. But then I went to college, then got a job, and now I have no time, so I find that I lose interest in the game after not playing it for a fair amount of time and then I just move on usually.

I started to get into this kind of habit, but that didn't sit well with me being border lined OCD, so I force myself to play through one before I install another. As for unstarted games, that's a different question!

It happened to me. I was making $2000 a month last summer and in 4 months spent around $1000 on games and didn't beat one of them due to such a large stream of them coming in. I have settled down though. Since finishing my latest semester of college in April I have beaten 7 games and am finishing up an 8th. I hope to average around 5 games a month from now until September, but I won't be rushing it and if I start an RPG it will take longer to finish.

All the time. One of the many reasons I need a break from WoW is to catch up on all of the games I've bought in the last year or so. I literally have stacks of games I haven't even touched yet, not to mention quite a few that I'd love to play through again.

Sure it can. I pop cholinesterase inhibitors like candy. And I solve Sudokus every day to keep them braincells sharp. Of course, I can't compete with a brain that has 6 more years to go 'til it's fully evolved.

Oh, snap.

i normally play one game at a time, though i've also got chess going and STEF with mods.

Funnily enough the exception is currently SS2, though - it just seems like a game that you need to spend some decent time on, particularly at the beginning, and i've not managed that so far, as well as charging in without knowing what i was doing, so had to abort a couple of times

For the Alzheimer's, right?

And I solve Sudokus every day to keep them braincells sharp.

artur79

So the development of a keen interest in Bingo should be just around the corner then?

Of course, I can't compete with a brain that has 6 more years to go 'til it's fully evolved.

I agree. The way I see it, 6 years of incomplete evolution isn't as damning as who knows how many years of alcohol-induced devolution.

Yeah, charging in at highest difficulty level on your first playthrough is a bit optimistic...

11 years to be exact. And almost as many years of university education. Achieved something > great potential to achieve something.

*Double snap. Oh, no, he di int.*
