After playing COD2 MP for a few months i feel like the MP section is dried up.... Im not sure why, do you ppl also feel this way?? If you guys dont agree tell how can i improve the gaming experience. I really love the game...shafrox
as a CoD2 MP vet,( i have 400+CoD2 MP hours )even i felt the same way after a few months. try going to zombie, HTF( hold the flag ), BDM( Bash Death Match ), Jump server, or any of the other servers that have some sweet mods on them and custom maps. custom maps makes things much more fun instead of playing c-tan and touj over and over again...
Also, if you're into S&D then it's pretty easy to get into a clan or twl team. it's pretty hard to find those servers but after a while you should be able to.

LMAO, you have no idea dude. Always have hated CoD 2 multiplayer, and I've been playing it for months and months on end because my friend is addicted to it, and we like to join clans n' such and frag together. However, with CoD 2, I just can't continue on.
The game just sucks. I could go on for hours complaining about it, but I'm a bit tired so no.
In short, CoD > CoD 2...in every way. CoD 2 was a HUGE FAILTURE on Infinity Ward's part and I was highly disappointed in them for that. I can only sincerely pray that CoD 4 is not even remotely close to CoD 2...because if it is, then I will not spend one moment of my time on it.
Skullheart... your opinion is not fact, ok?
Cod 2 multiplayer is pretty good when youve got only a few players (less than 10), then camping and sniping is more viable but players who like to run around with machine guns can still get away with it, thanks to the abundant cover on most of the maps. I havent played it a huge amount, but it was enjoyable. Not the greatest multiplayer fps ever but not bad.
Then again, i can see why you guys whove played it for months have got sick of it. In that case, why not play something else? Its not good to stick with one game for any large amount of time. Go play something quite different (something fast and with lots of rampant death, like quake 3 or half life 2 deathmatch or fear), and then see how you feel about cod2 after a break.
the multiplayer is to easy and the grenade fests + hitbox are crap.
I find it harder to play CS after a long break then COD2, battlefield 2
CoD 2 MP is a good game with plenty of game modes to play and it still has a big community but I stopped playing CoD 2 for several reasons:
1. You must download a bunch of useless data in order to join server (MP skins, quake/unreal sounds, ..., and finally the map itself that is like the 20-30% of the downloaded data), and that happens everytime you join a new server.
2. Several servers added BF2 ranks and stats, which I really didn't like at all (If I wanted that I'd go and play BF2 instead).
3. The maps are too small, I mean, you can snipe your opponent almost from your spawn point.
4. Also I don't like the health system used in this game, personally I like to use med-kits or other methods to recover my health to full strength.
And some other reasons, nonetheless CoD 2 is a game that I re-install every once in while to re-play its single player campaing but I always end up uninstalling it when I try to play MP for the reasons stated above.
yes and everybody memorises these small little camping spots where you can easily frag someone.
It feels to me that the game is about who can get to the interesting spots first.
I have a friend whose a clan leader and everybody has to throw the grenade in a special spot, special angle etc... just pathetic multiplayer
Call of duty is fairly boring online...but fire that baby up at a lan match and it adds a whole new dimension to the game.
Although that may have something to do with the looks you see on friends faces as you slowly humiliate any shred of gaming diginity/self-respect they had by destroying them in a good old fashioned shoot out!
