Okay i have a amd athlon 64 processor 2.41 ghz! Well im trying to use my computer for recording, but it cuts out to bad like if the computer cannot keep up with it at all. I have just bought more memory for it, i am now at 2gb! I have tons of free space on my drive, the computer runs fine with everythingelse.

Run memtest or memtest86 to test your new RAM. Also, clean the dust out of your case and monitor your temps. I would recommend Speedfan, nVmonitor (included with nTune), or your motherboard manufacturer's temp monitoring tools...

Also, if you have one laying around, try a different sound card.. since you aren't having problems with anything else...

I get the same result through both usb and mic input on the soundcard. It cuts-out on me, and also sometimes sounds like the cpu makes noise into the recording. But the cpu doesnt make any noise at all!

Like the above said, check out your new RAM with memtest...that'd be my best guess.

Hi It sounds to me like you might have a bad cord

on your microphone. Sometimes moisture on the

plug can make it make noises. You might want to

unplug it and plug it back in a few times.

Okay i tried windows sound recorder, the recording and stuff works fine i dont hear any cut-outs or any other problems. But if i use bigger programs, it does not work well at all. Maybe i need to remove all the programs, and reinstall them? Or is it my cpu?
