I have a new pc coming with a 570 which has dvi and hdmi connections. My monitor only has a vga connection? Will it hurt performance if I connect to the motherboard vga?

Chances are that your new computer will come with a dvi-vga adapter. If not, you can get one for really cheap.
You won't be using the 570 at all then and will be using your onboard graphics. Go buy a VGA to DVI adapter or a DVI cable if you have the DVI connector on your monitor.
Plugging it into the motherboard means you will be using onboard graphics vs your 570, which effectively renders your 570 USELESS. VGA --> DVI adapter or get a new monitor.ndawgdrake
exactly. Any monitor worth anything has a DVI input. or HDMI (lcd tv ftw!) Yeah. I was using DVI as a minimum.[QUOTE="SF_KiLLaMaN"][QUOTE="C_Rule"]Better yet, go get a new monitor. It should be a crime to run an old monitor, off a nice graphics card like that.ionusX
[QUOTE="Cyberdot"]I was wondering why I had already posted in this thread, when I hadn't. It was last year!Get a new monitor. The one with both HDMI and DVI.
