well as gamespot is once again FAIL i have to put the question HERE

is it possible to run a Radeon HD 3870X2 and a R4870X2-T2D2G in Crossfire?

You mean crossfire ,and you should check to make sure your MB is crossfire or sli compatible. And no its not possible.
