Its very hard to earn my trust , more so when you are talking about such money . I would stick with time confirmed and more popular places.

Dude ... don't ever download games, form such sites. Most of them are filled with virus and ad applications. Use Steam.

Well I use Direct2Drive which is safe but it doesn't have demos. The demo I downloaded was Risk which is available on Direct2Drive and its made by iWin games. I figured, I'll go to the game makers website to see if there is a demo and there was.....so far I havn't noticed any changes in my computer so I think I'm fine. I deleted the currupt files and Trend Micro says it stopped the virus threat.

The virus threat wasn't probably much of a threat at all. Your antivirus software did it's job, but if you had gotten adware or spyware it would have been a whole different story.

Lesson of the day: the internet can be a shady, dangerous place. I once had a trojan disguised as an anti-spyware program on a my internet computer. Luckily I never remembered installing it so I was instantly suspicious, and a quick search on the web confirmed my suspicion. It was a female canine to remove. When it comes to digital distribution services, trust only Steam, Impulse and Direct2Drive. Be wary of everything else.
