How do they usually ship TV's in the mail ? I just found an LG to replace my Dynex and it's really cheap on Amazon right now, but do they use UPS or something or the sort to ship ? Because I really can't trust that, I've been inside a UPS warehouse with "fragile" marked boxes being chucked around.

The last 2 TVs I had delivered to me used some curbside delivery service that wasn't UPS/Fedex. They do a good job.

Amazon is a safe place to order from. Just make sure you actually order it from Amazon (if not, study the return policy closely).

I purchase 90% of electronics online, I have had no problems with anything and no Dead on Arrivals. Just use REAL websites for buying and selling: New Egg, Amazon and Tiger Direct are some examples

I've bought 3 big screen hdtvs online in the past year. The one from Amazon came with free white glove shipping, meaning the shipping company came in, set up the tv for me, and turned it on to make sure there was no damage. Then you sign a paper saying there is no damage. From what I've seen with my tv's they use freight companies, and its not in their best interest to abuse your package, since you'll be inspecting the contents before you sign.

Ordered a 42" led online and it came fine. They tend to use styrofoam inserts to secure the contents so they don't wiggle. The whole tv is covered in anti static plastic and the screen in a special plastic wrap to prevent scratches. It's very safe to order online, as long as it's from a trusted/mainstream site. Always study the return policies and warranties though.

Yeah, just stick to the main sites like Amazon and you should be fine as it uses a secure checkout system, whenever I'm buying stuff online i also use a prepaid debit card as it comes with purchase protection. Never use a site you don't trust and go with your instincts.

I believe that the TV has to be 40inches or above to recieve the white glove service. Anything below that gets shipped UPS.

It's no different then ordering a TV out of the store just instead of the TV shipping to the store it comes directly to your house. I would actually perfer the TV come to my then to get one from the store.

I got most everything from Amazon, got em in good shape all the time. and my 24" monitor was fine.. and if you're ordering a big screen make sure you're at home when it arrives.

Pretty much everything i buy is done via the internet, clothes, electronics and everything else inbetween comes from the web and ive yet to experience any problems with any of them.

The cash savings alone make it a no brainer for me, nearly a grand saving over the same tv instore is no joke.
