My specs:

CPU: Pentium D E6300 OCed

MoBo: Gigabyte EP43-UD3L

VGA: BFG GTX275 OC 896MB

RAM: 4GB Patriot DDR2 800MHZ

PSU: Antec Trio 550W

My rig is more then 2 years old and I am just not sure its up to task anymore, here is some benchmarks I did just now, please let me know if it is time for me to upgrade this old lady.. and Which part should I go for first, where is the bottleneck as far as gaming go.

Anything below a i5/7 upgrade is not worth it. Besides, your duo core is still right up there in 99% of today's games.

having never built a AMD rig, I kinda want to try it, but they say ATI cards perform better on AMD machine, is it true? my bro is running a 4890, I can just swap with him that makes a difference.

No actually ATI cards run just as well on Intel machines. Yeah AMD would be an excellent upgrade option. I'd say get a AMD Phenom II 955 CPU and this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128384

Be careful when you overclock cause you could damage your CPU if you overclock too far. Overclock using AMD overdrive. Also if you overclock go for an aftermarket cooler just in case.
