is it time to get a new laptop

iv had my laptop for bout 3 years now, its a 1.6ghz with 1ghz ram, but its gettin loud and really hot, im lookin to get a new 1, i want a more powerful 1, do you reckon its time i got a new 1.

Depends, what do you use your laptop for? A way that you can try to cool your laptop down is to take the keyboard off and either a) blow out the mobo with a compressed air can or b) take a small vacuum to suck out all the dust and debris that has accumulated. The other thing is to attempt to clean out your vents on your laptop that allow your components to breath. Another thing that you can do to keep it cool is, if you leave your laptop on a desk while you use it and you can have it plugged in take the battery out. The battery typically contributes a lot to the heat.

i dont use it for gaming, just for everyday normal stuff, also i produce music on it , but i think i do need a faster 1 tbh , but yeh i forgot bout the battery bein ther tbh, i dont use it with out the battery anyway now it dont last long, maybe another reason to get a new 1, thnx
