ATI 5700 series cards can only run on full HD monitors ? I'm asking this as I wanna get a 5700 series card but I use a 15" monitor ! :P Will it run ??? Also I've got a 450W PSU. I read on this page about the requirements of these cards. It doesn't say anything about monitor.

If you have a 15" monitor, I strongly suggest upgrading the monitor first lol.

if you have a decent GPU like a 4850 or a GTS250, keep it and upgrade the monitor. seriously 15" for gaming is terrible. Or if you really need the upgrade, try and do them both. for 180$ you can get something like the GTS250 and a 19" LCD monitor.

PC video cards will run on monitors of any size and almost any resolution, especially lowers ones. It is, however, a bit wasteful on a smaller monitor with a lower resolution. You can probably go with a weaker video card and still have similar performance boost.

I would recommend upgrading the monitor unless that monitor has some kind of feature that is incomparable to current monitors. You'll be presently surprised at current cheap monitor's sharpness and colors compared to yours.

yeah monitors are becoming cheap, mainly because there are new technologies that are about to flood the market.
